Week...1 of 2025
Happy new year! I hope 2025 brings good health and happiness to all of us. :)
Now, onto this week’s post.
I started off this blog with a strong motivation to post weekly—whether it was something I created, experienced, or learned. But shortly after that, it became clear that the sudden shift in my schedule made it very difficult to manage everything to a satisfying extent. Every now and then, the thought of posting here crossed my mind, but it never came to fruition.
Today, I’m writing to share what I've noticed and hope to apply in my own life.
Motivation vs Discipline is a very common comparison we find everywhere. Here are a few of my thoughts on that. :)
I made this graph to meet my “picture quota” for the post xD.
I'll summarize the graph. Inspiration is the spark that gets us started. Motivation is the explosive combustion we initially see and discipline is the slow, constant burning flame sustaining for as long as conditions and resources permit.
It is quite easy to feel inspired and motivated and set goals. But to sustain the enthusiasm and feeling of purpose takes a lot of intrinsic and extrinsic factors to align. Or, we need to be disciplined enough and committed to the goal in a such a way that nothing can influence our will to work towards fulfilling it.
As of now, huge goals stands in front of me.
One a necessity, one an ambition, and one...a dream.
I like to believe I can achieve them all—and I hope I do!
I believe one day of preparation and four days of work is much better than five days of aimless running. So taking time to plan things out, at least in my case, quite helpful. :)
This also means building a sustainable routine. Not one where I cram everything and sacrifice on the essentials of life, but one where I'm at ease and working without neglecting necessary aspects of life. :)
I'm not sure my schedule is where the ideal is, but I think I can slowly progress towards it, if I put in the effort. I hope I continue to work, and I hope you do too! :)
And if you’ve read this far, thank you! Also, remember, taking breaks isn’t a sin. Giving our minds some rest is essential for them to work effectively.
Simple or unattainable is just a tag we add. Nothing (within reason) is unachievable.
I hope to move forward with both motivation and discipline, and make things happen!
Let’s see how it goes!
Hope to see you again soon. Until then, take care—జాగ్రత్త! :)
